The Flash Pack Limited has Ceased Trading – Advice for Customers

 

We are sorry to inform you that The Flash Pack Limited has ceased trading.

The information below sets out specific advice to follow depending on what holiday and travel arrangements you have booked and how you paid for them.

1. Package holidays which included a flight and were protected under the ATOL scheme

The information in this section applies only if you booked a flight-inclusive booking protected under The Flash Pack Ltd’s ATOL number 11200 or if you received a document entitling you to a refund at a later date because your original flight-inclusive ATOL booking was cancelled as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic.

If you are unsure whether you hold an ATOL protected booking, please check if you have been provided with an ATOL Certificate which will state ‘Package Single Contract’ in the bottom right-hand corner. The Flash Pack Ltd’s ATOL number 11200 will also be displayed in the box to the left of this.

If you paid The Flash Pack Ltd for some or all of your booking by credit card

  • If you paid The Flash Pack Ltd entirely by credit card, please approach your credit card issuer to claim this amount pursuant to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
  • If you part-paid The Flash Pack Ltd by credit card and you made another payment to them by other means such as cheque, debit card, bank transfer or cash please approach your credit card issuer to claim all the payments you personally made, pursuant to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
  • If you part-paid The Flash Pack Ltd by credit card but someone else paid the rest by cheque, debit card, bank transfer or cash, please only reclaim your credit card payment from your credit card issuer pursuant to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Please read the instructions below for advice on how to reclaim the other payments.

(Your card issuer will most likely require a “negative response letter” from the CAA, which is available here.)

  • If your credit card claim is unsuccessful, you may be able to make a claim on the Financial Failure Insurance policy, outlined below. Please download this claim form for ATOL flight-inclusive packages and follow the instructions carefully. Please ensure you include written confirmation from your credit card provider that they have declined your claim.

If you paid for your original trip to The Flash Pack Ltd by any method other than credit card

The Flash Pack Ltd protected customer deposits and balances using a Financial Failure Insurance Policy, details of which are on your booking confirmation. This insurance is with Zurich Insurance PLC, arranged via Towergate Travel who will be handling claims. Please download this claim form for ATOL flight-inclusive packages and follow the instructions carefully. The claim form should be completed and returned with the required supporting documentation to Towergate Travel.

2. Package holidays which did not include a flight

The information in this section applies only to package holidays which did not include a flight or if you received a document entitling you to a refund at a later date because your original booking was cancelled as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic.

If you paid The Flash Pack Ltd for some or all of your booking by credit card

  • If you paid The Flash Pack Ltd entirely by credit card, please approach your credit card issuer for a refund pursuant to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
  • If you part-paid The Flash Pack Ltd by credit card and you made another payment to them by other means such as cheque, debit card, bank transfer or cash, please approach your credit card issuer for all payments you personally made, pursuant to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
  • If you part-paid The Flash Pack Ltd by credit card but someone else paid the rest by cheque, debit card, bank transfer or cash, please only reclaim your credit card payment from your credit card issuer pursuant to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Policy Exclusions:
The Financial Failure Insurance policy will not cover any monies paid for travel insurance. Please seek reimbursement from your travel insurance provider.

The Financial Failure Insurance policy was put in place to protect holidays sold to UK and EU customers. Customers based outside of the UK and EU should pursue a claim via their bank or card provider.

How long will it take to process my claim?

If you are making a claim on the Financial Failure Insurance, please bear with us. Unfortunately there has been a large number of company failures recently and our teams are therefore working through an exceptionally high number of customer claims.

When you submit your claim, please ensure you send through all the paperwork, receipts and any other documentation that supports your claim. Once you’ve submitted your claim, we would kindly ask that only essential additional communications are made in regard to your claim, as this will help to minimise the time taken to process your claim.
